33 Was He

feeling better yet?

how about now?

Blind Boy Fuller, (born Fulton Allen, Wadesboro, NC), 1907 - 1941. lost his sight in his teens. doctor told him he had "ulcers behind his eyes" that had probably been caused by "snow-blindness". that's Depression-era country medicine for you, huh? other accounts say a girlfriend tossed chemicals in his face during an argument, which lead to Fuller's blindness. either way, dude couldn't see. so he started playing guitar on the street and eventually was heard from somebody who took him to New York to record. his Wiki is worth a look..... seems like much of his repertoire was popular double entendre "hokum" songs, like Let Me Squeeze Your Lemon or I Want Some of Your Pie or, my personal favorite What's That Smells Like Fish? he was regarded as "good" more than "great" like some of his contemporaries; Charlie Patton, Blind Lemon Jefferson, etc. still i guess, judging by Wiki, he did alright.... eventually drinking himself to death by age 33. but he recorded and released over 150 sides of music, so his legacy is secure.

hey wanna see something cool?

hope yr feeling better tonight . see call me!
